Before you put on your boots and warm clothes, Connecticut Grown Christmas trees then head out for a quest to find the perfect adornments for the holidays. The little town of Bethlehem, is a great place to mail your greetings, and be sure to visit The Christmas Shop in Bethlehem.

Take a few downhill runs at Ski Sundown in New Hartford then cozy up by the fire and relax for a while.

Join Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves for a train adventure taking you over the river and through the woods on the Naugatuck Railroad in Thomaston.

Top off your getaway at Loon Meadow Farms in Norfolk with a 40-minute horse and carriage sleigh ride – complete with jingle bells and antique lap robes. Afterwards, warm up with a hot mulled cider.

A 20-mile ride on restored historic railroad from mills, through a state forest, along the Naugatuck River and across the face of a dam.

Loon Meadow Farm

Private horse drawn carriage rides from a restaurant or inn in Norfolk’s historic district, or from our farm. Scenic routes include Buttermilk Falls, revolutionary era homes, meadows and streams. In winter, sleigh rides at the farm. Reservations needed.
