While many states do not require you to have a certification in phlebotomy, there are some that do. Our recommendation is that you should indeed complete your certification. Being a certified Phlebotomist will not only make you a better candidate for job opportunities, but you will also be eligible for higher paying jobs.

By obtaining your certification, you will set yourself up to be the front candidate for any job in phlebotomy. Most applicants do not take the extra step to become certified unless they live in a state that requires them to. This is the main reason why we suggest you obtain phlebotomy certification.
