Often times, we may have heard about the conjugated linoleic acid safflower oil but cannot actually tell what its place is in the issue of CLA. Safflower oil is a health supplement having its primary ingredient as safflower which has been said to contain a high amount of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and has been considered recently as one of the best weight loss aid available. These claims have not been supported or opposed since it is a new product. In that case, it may be safe for use as expected after all its ingredients are not synthetic in case of the body’s adaptation to it.
The high amount of CLA in the safflower oil has announced it as an effective health supplement in providing notable CLA benefits. Having come in the form of soft gels, it has a dosage which is one capsule a day. The CLA benefits can well be derived from the safflower oil since it is believed to prevent heart diseases, lower blood pressure, decreasing total fat mass etc. It however can contain other ingredients but has been considered safe since they are of natural origin.

One may want to know whether there is any difference. Conjugated linoleic acid as the name is a form of linoleic acid which is an essential fatty acid and the difference accrues from the arrangement. When we look at the chemical composition of conjugated linoleic acid vs linoleic acid, we can almost see no difference except the bond arrangement. Since it is an isomer of the linoleic acid, the CLA exerts different physiological capabilities.
