Washington, D.C. Premiere The first of these two short documentaries shows the deforestation caused by aggressive cutting of trees to make charcoal that is sold for cooking food. The second shows the successful introduction of solar cookers. Directed by Jim Lindsay. Written and Co-produced by Fatima Jibrell, winner of the 2008 National Geographic Society/Buffet Award for Conservation in Africa.
